MARLOW OUTLAWS
Coach: MATT WEBER
11-2
Marlow enters 2026 riding the momentum of an 11-2 season and a senior class that head coach Matt Weber believes is one of the best to come through the program in a long time. Weber likes the blend of skill and linemen in this group and, just as importantly, the way they carry themselves. He describes this senior core as unselfish and close-knit, a combination they hope will translate into another deep postseason run.
Offensively, the Outlaws return four starters and will again be guided by senior quarterback Brendan Weber (6-1, 190), who led the team to a 10-1 mark last year before being injured in the first round of the playoffs. Senior running back Clint Landon (5-9, 182) is a four-year letterman who started in the playoffs as a freshman and brings toughness from his background as a state champion wrestler and standout baseball prospect. Up front, senior linemen Clete Gilbert (6-3, 270) and Jake Pettit (6-2, 260) anchor a physical offensive line, with Gilbert drawing multiple offers and big-time interest and Pettit entering his third year as a starter. Senior receiver-safety-returner Jaxson Murray (5-8, 162) provides explosiveness in the pass game and on special teams as a three-year starter and Western Oklahoma Baseball commit, while senior tight end Jackson Miller (6-3, 230) is a three-year two-way starter and one of the fastest players on the roster at his size.
Defensively, Marlow returns six starters and will again lean on a veteran core that has produced in multiple sports. Senior defensive back Brennan Harris (5-9, 174) is a two-year starter who led the team in sacks last season and placed at state in both wrestling and pole vault, while fellow senior linebacker Austin Harris (6-1, 201) returns after finishing as the Outlaws’ second-leading tackler. Senior defensive linemen Hayden Sparks (6-2, 226) and Mantle Furr (5-10, 195) supply size and a high motor up front, with Sparks a three-year starter and Furr offering the speed to play inside or at defensive end. Senior defensive back Kagun Mayes (5-11, 177) and linebacker Damon Ruth (5-9, 190) round out a senior-heavy unit that prides itself on weight-room work, multi-sport success and physical play. With that combination of experience, depth and chemistry, Weber expects this group to keep Marlow firmly in the 3A title conversation.
