2024 Rush Springs Football Preview – Presented by The First National Bank & Trust Co.

RUSH SPRINGS REDSKINS

Coach: TIM BEARD

2-8

OFFENSE

The Redskins enter the 2024 season ready to build off last season. Head coach Tim Beard is ready to see his team on the field and show what they can do. “We are trending upward,” he said. “We have the right pieces of the puzzle; we just need to stay healthy.” Jake Tumblson (5-10, 210, Jr.) will be at guard this season and will be key in keeping the defense at bay. Joining him on the offensive line will be Ayden Stamper (5-11, 195, Sr.). At wide receiver, Chris Crow (6-3, 180, Sr.) looks to be a threat on the outside. Brett Robnett will also see time at receiver but has the ability to play multiple positions if needed. Caysen Silverhorn (Fr.) brings toughness to the running back position. He is a powerlifter, and he will use that strength to his advantage. Also at running back will be Bricen Johnson (5-10, 185, Sr.). Tight end Judson Jones is a tough kid that gives it his all in practice and plays above his size.

DEFENSE

During the offseason, a lot of the focus has been to improve at attacking the ball. The Redskins want to be faster and better at slowing down their opponents. In the secondary, Crow will be at strong safety while Robnett plays cornerback, and they will both work to keep their opponents’ big plays to a minimum. Johnson and Silverhorn will be at linebacker, and they will have their heads on a swivel, keeping an eye out for whatever the offense has planned. Up front, Stamper and Jones will try to disrupt the offensive game plan and force mistakes. Assistant coaches for Rush Springs this season are Country Beard, Kyle Foster, Ivan Martinez, and Kelly Hayes.
