The Velma-Alma Lady Comets’ golf team had a lot of youth last season. But with another year of competition under their belts, they are looking to build on last year’s success and have another solid season.
Head coach Kaydee Wright is looking forward to seeing what the team can do on the course.
“We were a young, sophomore-heavy team last year,” Wright said. “We have some good golfers, and I think we will have a good season.”

One of the players who will be a leader on this year’s squad is junior Presley Condit. She consistently turns in the lowest rounds and has been the team’s Most Valuable Player for the last two seasons.
Another player looking to make an impact is Jade Airington. This is her first year with the school’s golf team, but she has been golfing for multiple years. She looks to be a contributor to teh team.
Other players on the team are juniors Isabella Davis and Paige Wainscott, and freshmen Kynlei Sanner and Adley Castor.
