DIBBLE DEMONS
Coach: RICHARD NORMAN
9-3
Coming off a quarterfinal appearance and entering his seventh season at the helm, Dibble head coach Richard Norman says the Demons are excited heading into this year’s season, with most of the roster returning from the 2025 playoff run. With experience on both sides of the ball, Dibble believes it has the pieces in place to make an even deeper postseason push.
Norman says the Demons “will be stout up front on both sides of the ball, returning everyone on the defensive line and four of five on the offensive line,” while adding that Dibble is “returning both of our running backs with an addition that will give us a trio of backs that will be one of the best running back rooms in Class 2A.”
Dibble runs a spread offense built around a power rushing attack and play-action passing, and with eight starters returning, continuity should be a major strength. Senior running back Wyatt Malchaski (6-2, 210) returns as the team’s top playmaker after leading Dibble in rushing yards and touchdowns last season while finishing third in tackles. Norman says, “We expect him to help lead us into championship contention this season” as he embraces a larger leadership role.
Junior running backs Jett Norman (6-1, 180) and Derrick Palmer (5-10, 190) provide additional firepower in the backfield, giving Dibble a deep and versatile rushing attack. Up front, senior linemen Caden Isom (6-2, 325) and Francisco Valadez (6-2, 285) anchor an experienced offensive line expected to set the tone physically. Senior receiver Weston Greene (6-2, 185) adds a vertical threat on the outside.
Defensively, the Demons return eight starters from last year’s quarterfinal squad and will again rely on an aggressive 3-3 scheme designed to pressure offenses and stop the run. Norman contributes at safety, while junior linebacker Gannon Malchaski (6-2, 235) provides size and physicality in the middle. Palmer also plays safety, Wyatt Malchaski shifts to linebacker, senior defensive end James Clark (5-11, 220) supplies pressure off the edge, and senior linebacker Bladen Prince (5-10, 235) adds toughness inside.
With experience across the roster, a powerful offensive front, and what the staff believes is one of Class 2A’s top running back groups, Dibble enters 2026 expecting to contend.
