THOMAS-FAY-CUSTER TERRIERS
Coach: BOB WARD
9-2
The Terriers head into the 2026 season excited about a fresh district, several new opponents and a roster loaded with experience on both sides of the ball. Head coach Bob Ward returns for his 22nd year with the program after guiding the Terriers to a 9-2 finish in 2025, and he likes the way this group has attacked the offseason. Ward expects the veteran presence to help smooth the transition into the new district while maintaining the standard of tough, physical football the program is known for. With multiple starters back on offense and defense, Ward believes his team is both hungry and prepared to make another deep run.
Ward’s squad returns seven offensive starters and will once again operate out of a no-huddle spread that uses tempo, motion and shifts to stress defenses. Senior receiver and running threat Harper Hamar (5-9, 160) is a key weapon after totaling 33 carries for 278 rushing yards and 22 receptions for 258 receiving yards last season. Senior linemen Evan Eyester (6-0, 215), Kasyn Marshall (6-0, 220) and Jaxon Priefert (6-1, 270) anchor the offensive front and will be critical in protecting senior quarterback Cason Frymire (6-1, 160), who completed 14 of 19 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns. Junior running back Cash Willis (5-7, 150) adds explosiveness to the backfield after rushing 79 times for 674 yards and eight scores. Thomas will look to push the pace, use motion to create mismatches and keep the pressure on opposing defenses snap after snap.
Defensively, Thomas also brings back seven starters and will line up in an aggressive 3-5-3 scheme built to attack. Senior linebacker Deuce Tripp (5-10, 180) returns as a tone-setter after recording 53 tackles, two sacks and an interception last season, while senior defensive end Hunter Reinschmidt (5-9, 180) and senior end Remi Kohout (6-0, 200) give the Terriers toughness on the edge. Senior linebacker Aron Conley (5-10, 160) contributed 32 tackles and an interception, and senior linebacker Jayce Villines (5-10, 175) adds more size and physicality to the second level. On the back end, senior defensive back Carter Frymire (6-1, 150) logged 19 tackles and an interception and will help stabilize the secondary. Ward expects this defense to play fast, bring pressure from multiple angles and set the tone for a team eager to compete in its new district.
