Empire’s Ashtin Anderson – Golf Spotlight – Presented by Coaches Corner

Ashtin Anderson is in her senior year at Empire High School. With her high school years coming to a close, and she reflects back on her journey, she realizes that she has had a number of people that have helped her get to where she is today.
“My biggest role models are my mom, dad, and sisters,” she said. “That may sound cliché but it’s true. They have supported me in every step of my life, and being able to watch them and learn from them all these years has been inspiring.”

Anderson is a student-athlete at Empire, participating in softball, golf, cheer, and pom. She also serves as the President of the Student Council, a class officer, a Fellowship of Christian Athletes officer, and a member of the National Honor Society.

There has been a lot of work for Ashtin to become the athlete that she is today. And she knows that she could not do it alone.

“It has taken a lot of discipline to be successful in my sports,” Anderson stated. “Making sure I practice on my days off, working hard at practice, and going all in at games and tournaments are a few things I remind myself of each day. I am thankful to have been surrounded by great teammates and coaches throughout high school who held me accountable.”

And she has been able to see all of her hard work payoff in the form of success.

“I think the highlight of my career would be making it to state in my second and third years of golf,” she said.

No matter what sport she is competing in, Ashtin says that she is proud to be able to play for her school and community.

“It means so much to me to be able to represent my school and community each time I step on the field or course,” she said. “Knowing that I have this support system reminds me to keep my head up and try my hardest each and every day.”
