VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Ansley: I am a sophomore at Navajo High School where I play basketball, volleyball, and softball.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Ansley: My family for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best I can be.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Ansley: My favorite teacher would Mr. Curry from ninth grade. He always believed in me and pushed me to do my best. He made learning so engaging and really made an effort to get to know his students beyond just their grades, which made me feel valued.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Ansley: I’d say Avery Rempel has left the biggest impression on me. We’ve grown a lot together, both as teammates and as friends. Her ability to communicate on and off the court made our teamwork stronger, and she always had my back, no matter what.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Ansley: The best advice I’ve ever received was from my mom and dad. ‘Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts’. This quote by Winston Churchill has always stuck with me because it reminds me that no matter how well things are going or how tough they may get, the key is to keep going.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Ansley: Being the only freshman to All-Conference in basketball.
VYPE: What is your all time favorite meal?
Ansley: Definitely fried rice
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Ansley: The Maldives, and I’d take my family and the Wyatt family.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Ansley: I’m involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers of America, and my AAU basketball team, the Oklahoma Swarm 27 Showcase Team.
