Baseball has been a part of Brodie Rogers’ life since he was five years old. Now a senior at Altus High School, the sport has shaped him into the person he is today, teaching him valuable lessons on and off the field.
“Baseball teaches me to stay confident and think carefully before reacting,” Rogers said. “It’s helped me grow as a player and as a person.”
As he prepares for his final season, Rogers reflects on the years he’s spent honing his skills. From mastering fundamentals to building his confidence, he’s worked intensively to improve his game.
“My goal is always to give my best effort,” he said. “It’s about helping the team perform well and enjoying the experience.”
For Rogers, high school baseball has been more than individual growth. Each year, he’s watched his team develop and grow closer, a process he credits to the leadership and dedication of its players.
“It takes time to develop,” he said. “But each season, we’ve gotten stronger and more connected as a team.”
Rogers finds balance outside baseball through outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. These hobbies provide a welcome escape from the busy demands of school and sports, helping him recharge and stay focused.
“It’s all about staying organized and focused,” he said. “Those lessons will stick with me for life.”
As Rogers enters his final games with Altus High School, he’s determined to leave everything on the field.
His dedication, passion, and leadership ensure his legacy will be remembered by teammates and coaches for years to come.
