ALTUS BULLDOGS
GIRLS
Coach: Greg Gay
23-24 Record: 11-14
The Altus Lady Bulldogs will look to new leadership to help them build off of last season and they will try to make some noise once the postseason rolls around. Greg Gay takes over the program and he is looking forward to what this season holds. “I am excited about this year’s team,” he stated. “We have girls that have worked extremely hard to get better in the offseason. We have a chance to have a really successful season.” One of the players that coach Gray will look to for leadership this season is Hayden Castillo (5-6, So.). She is a hard worker and can handle the ball very well. She has been working hard on her shooting and is also an outstanding player on defense. According to Gay, Castillo has the opportunity to be one the best point guards in the state before she graduates high school. Also back this season is senior Haley Cabera (5-2, Sr.), who is a solid player and teammate and she will have a big role in the team’s success this season. An underclassman, Hadley Wallace (5-7, Fr.) has a high basketball IQ and brings a lot to the team. Other players that will look to make a difference this season are Maddie Whittaker (5-8, Jr.), Kyerra Osborn (5-5, Fr.), Mo Tamez (5-7, Jr.), Jenna Blackford (5-9, Sr.), and Maci Hayes (5-8, Sr.).
