Ok Ag Credit FFA Spotlight
Ethan Fisher – Bray-Doyle HS
Growing up around agriculture and organizations like FFA and 4-H Club, Ethan Fisher knew he was going to join FFA once he entered the eighth grade. It was his father who really encouraged him to join.
“My dad encouraged me to get involved since he’s the AG teacher,” said Fisher.
Fisher is an officer in the Bray-Doyle FFA chapter and said he is involved in other activities as well, including playing on the varsity basketball team.
“I’m the FFA President so I’m involved in just about everything that I can be,” Fisher said. “I’m also the President of FCCLA, and the President of STUCO, while being a FCA officer!”
Showing livestock is something Fisher loves to do.
“I mostly show sheep but have shown almost everything I can. I would have to say meeting new people from all over the country is what I enjoy most,” said Fisher.
Currently a junior, Fisher said he has played basketball since middle school and loves being around his teammates and is willing to play any position on the court.
“I’ve played basketball since I was in middle school. I’m really a forward/guard but play as a post a lot,” said Fisher.
As for life after high school, Fisher is making plans to continue his education at the next level.
“I plan to go to college somewhere and get my AG Education degree along with an agribusiness degree,” said Fisher.
He offers this advice to anyone interested in FFA. “I would say do it. It’s the best decision you will have ever made. FFA is the greatest student led organization known to mankind.”
