Ryan’s Kyson Tomberlin — Athlete Spotlight — Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Three-sport athlete, Kyson Tomberlin, plays football, basketball, and baseball or Ryan High School. Aside from his involvement in sports, Tomberlin is a member of the FFA chapter and is serving as the current chapter President. 

“I joined my 8th grade year. My brothers were involved in FFA and when I was in the 8th grade my advisor, Raquel Welchel encouraged me to show,” said Tomberlin. 

Now a junior, Tomberlin continues to show livestock and has started a new business away from school.

“I show pigs and started a swine breeding business this summer. What I enjoy most is engaging with others and making memories,” said Tomberlin. “I would highly encourage students to join the organization because of the many opportunities of leadership and skills you gain.” 

As a member of the football team, Tomberlin said his brother has been a source of inspiration on and off the field. 

“I love football because of all the ever-lasting memories and the friendships that are built. I started playing football in the 1st grade. My brother Grayson who plays football at SNU. My family supports me and always encourages me to do my best,” said Tomberlin. 

His plan after high school include school to become a lineman.
“My plan after high school is to attend OSUIT to become a high voltage lineman,” said Tomberlin.
