Weatherford High School junior Cooper Bryant is a multisport athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball for the Weatherford High School Eagles. For football, Cooper plays the positions of both wide receiver and defensive back, for basketball, Cooper plays the position of forwards, and for baseball, Cooper plays the position of infield. Many would consider Cooper a sports veteran, having played football for 5 years, and has played basketball and baseball for 12 years.
As far as what it means for Cooper to represent his school and community as a student athlete, Cooper proclaimed, “It means a lot to me to represent my school and community as a student athlete. It is truly amazing to play for a school when you know the fans and community will always show up to support you out there.”
In terms of a role model, Cooper looks towards family for that source. Cooper explained, “My parents are my biggest role model, because I believe they raised me well, and they are always there to push me and also help me, when I need it.”

In regards to what it has taken Cooper to become successful in sports, Cooper stated, “It has taken lots of hard work, and putting in extra hours.”
Many memories are made during student athlete’s career. For Cooper, that moment occurred recently. Cooper recalled, “That event was winning a state basketball championship this past year.”
Over the course of a student athlete’s academics, there is often a teacher or faculty member that stands out to them. Cooper stated, “For me, that person is Coach Soss because he has pushed me to be a better football player, as well as to become a better leader.”
In addition to being a multisport athlete for the Weatherford Eagles, Cooper is a member of The National Honor Society, a member of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a member of Leadership Lab.
Many student athletes have a professional athlete that they look up to. For Cooper, it is an NBA player. Cooper stated, my favorite professional athlete is Kobe Bryant because we both have the same last name, and I grew up watching him play.”
