Weatherford Mom: Holly Stutzman – Presented by More Than Medicine

Holly Stutzman is the proud mother of three children who are involved in a number of extracurricular activities. She says that she loves her kids being involved in things, even though it can get stressful at times.
“The toughest part about being the parent of a high school athlete is keeping a healthy balance with all of the schedules and maintaining the priorities of my family,” she said. “I think it is important for my kids to know what their priorities are so they can set goals and achieve those goals. Keeping priorities teaches them to be responsible and focused.”

Stutzman’s daughter Jenna is a junior at Weatherford High School. She is involved in cross country, track and field, the Future Farmers of America, Student Council, the National Honor Society, Custer County 4-H Horse Club, and is a 4-H Sate Ambassador. Her son, Tucker is a sophomore that throws discus on the track and field team. He is also in the FFA, shooting sports, the National Honor Society, and the Custer County 4-H Club. A seventh-grader, Lexy is in cross country, track and field, Student Council, and the Custer County 4-H Horse Club.

Holly is a stay-at-home mom, which allows her the ability to be more a part of her kids’ lives and activities.

“I think being able to be a full time mom is such a blessing,” she said. “I am a member of the Cross Country Booster Club and the Track and Field Booster Club. I stay involved with my kids’ athletics by joining and helping with booster clubs, encouraging them before, during and after their sport and being willing to help with anything needed.”

Being able to raise her family in a community like Weatherford is something that Holly is thankful to be able to do.

“The community of Weatherford and Weatherford Public Schools support and encourage kids to succeed and push them to do better,” she said. “The administrators, teachers, coaches and support staff at Weatherford Public Schools go above and beyond for their students. They want the best for them and support and cheer them on beyond their school years. We are so blessed to come from such a great community.”
