VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Hayden: I am a senior at Elk City and I play soccer.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
Hayden: My sport has taught me how to be a good team leader and set an example and standard for others, especially my teammates.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Hayden: I admire N’Golo Kanté. He’s always happy and very humble. He’s a very nice guy and always puts his pride aside. He also gives back to his community in a lot of ways.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Hayden: Kushtrim Maloku, Alex Caudillo, and Braulio Luna. Kushtrim always set my standard high and pushed me to be a player and showed me how to be a team leader. Braulio and Alex have been my best friends throughout my high school career and have stood by my side from the beginning.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Hayden: My favorite teacher is Mrs Thompson. She knows what I’m capable of academically and pushes me to a higher standard in the classroom.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Hayden: I’m very proud that I was able to teach myself various instruments like guitar and piano.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Hayden: Whenever you hit a roadblock, look forward, work harder, and be better. The best thing is don’t give up.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Hayden: My favorite meal has to be spaghetti.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Hayden: I would want to go to a beach in Spain with my friends Alex, Braulio, and Kushtrim mainly for the soccer experiences there.
