Hydro-Eakly’s Dillyn Coe – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by GR Energy Services

Throughout an athlete’s career, there are moments that happen that are important to them and make an impact on their life. Whether it is a personal accomplishment or a team victory, these instances help define them. As she looks back on her career, Dillyn Coe has one memory that stands out for her.

“A highlight of my softball career was during junior year’s slow pitch season,” she recalled. “We were losing in the bottom of the seventh inning with the bases loaded and two outs, when I hit a grand slam to win the game. It was a really awesome moment.”

Coe is a senior at Hydro-Eakly Public Schools. Along with slowpitch softball, she also plays fastpitch softball and basketball. Outside of sports, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Renaissance Academic Association, and the youth group at First Baptist Church of Hydro.

Throughout her life, there have been numerous people that have had an influence on Dillyn’s life and helped shape her into the person that she is today and will become.

“My biggest role model in life is my Aunt Whitley,” she said. “Growing up she has always been like a sister to me or even a best friend. I know I can always count on her to support me, and everyday she pushes me to become a better athlete and person. She works hard in whatever she does and that pushes me to strive to grow up and be like her. Also, a teacher that has had the biggest impact on my life is Alayna Leppke. She pushes me to strive for success and makes me believe I can be successful.”

When it comes to opponents, Coe and her teammates are ready to face whoever is on the schedule. But for her personally, there is one team that she enjoys going up against the most.

“An opponent that I enjoy beating the most is Lookeba Sickles,” she stated. “One of my best friends plays for their school and we always have a good time competing against each other. We are both fierce competitors on the field and on the court but know that after the game we will walk out good friends.”

Dillyn will be playing softball at the next level at the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha.

“I am so thankful for all the support and love I have been given over the four years of my high school career, but I am looking forward to a new adventure and challenge in Chickasha.”
