Elk City’s Khloe Harrison – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by T&W Tire

Energy, focus, and leadership — three words that define Elk City freshman Khloe Harrison, who is already making her mark as a multi-sport athlete. Standing at 5’0”, Khloe competes in cheer and track for the Elks, and she’s just getting started. “I would like to become more of a leader this year,” she said, a goal that reflects both her ambition and her maturity as a young athlete stepping into high school life.

The Elk City cheer squad has built a reputation for excellence, but what really drives them is their strong sense of unity. “Our team environment has been great this year,” Khloe shared. That positivity has translated into strong performances and growing confidence across the board.

One of the biggest signs of progress this season has come from the team’s stunting abilities. “The biggest improvement this year is how well our stunt groups work together,” she said. Precision and trust are key, and the Elks have clearly been putting in the hours to perfect their timing and teamwork.

The squad has its eyes set on the ultimate prize. “The biggest goal that we would hope to achieve is winning state. We hope to achieve this goal by putting in our all and especially having a positive mindset,” Khloe said. That mindset — confident, focused, and optimistic — defines both her approach to cheer and her outlook on life.

Team chemistry also plays a huge role in their success. “What I believe our team’s biggest strength right now is how well we get along,” Khloe noted. That connection helps them thrive under pressure and support one another through every performance.

As a base, flyer, and front tumbler, Khloe wears many hats on the mat. She takes pride in the technical aspects of her routines, emphasizing the importance of focus and detail. “I look for the small details because that’s just as important as the big ones,” she explained.

Her preparation is as much mental as physical. “I prepare myself by thinking about positives,” Khloe said. That positive mindset follows her wherever she performs — “My mindset will always be positive on and off the mat/field.”

Looking ahead, Khloe hopes her time at Elk City leaves a lasting impression. “I want to be remembered as a leader and an overall good person,” she said. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and become a meteorologist — a fitting dream for a student-athlete who already brings sunshine and energy to everything she does.
