Elk City-Weatherford-Clinton Players to Watch – Presented by Great Plains Orthopedics

Baseball

Jake Beutler – Canute

Jake is a junior and will be on the mound for Canute this season. He is expected to have a good season.

Craig Hunter and Ayden Crumley – Clinton

Two outstanding pitchers, Hunter and Crumley have worked hard in the offseason and it will show when they hit the field.

Blane Miller – Cordell

Blane is a senior and a leader on the team. He plays shortstop, catcher, and is also Cordell’s  top pitcher. He has a competitiveness about him that is a great asset to a team that is young. He’s a great kid with a lot of ability and a huge amount of untapped potential.

Cole Buie – Elk City

Cole is an electric athlete. He has started in the outfield since he was a sophomore. Last season, he hit .392 with 20 stolen bases. Off the field he is just as impressive. He has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Tripp Higgins – Hammon

Tripp plays at pitcher and shortstop while also being the leadoff hitter. He is a very dependable player and as consistent as they get. He is a great all around baseball player.

Caleb Warner – Hydro-Eakly

Caleb is a senior and a four year starter with a couple of state tournament appearances. He is a solid player and will be a starter on the mound.

Ainsley Harmon – Mt. View-Gotebo

Harmon is a great kid and always gives his 100% effort anytime he is on the field.

Camden Pascher – Weatherford

Camden will be a three-year starter for the Eagles. He has played center field, first base, and will be one of the main arms on the mound. He is committed to play at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.     

Slowpitch Softball

Jordan Lambeth – Arapaho-Butler

Jordan is an outstanding young lady that is a big time hitter and is an excellent outfielder with a cannon for an arm. She is also a great teammate and always makes sure everything gets done even if it is not her job.

Dillyn Coe – Hydro-Eakly

Coe had a solid season a year ago, batting .642 with 22 doubles, 2 triples, and 16 home runs. Playing at shortstop, she is a great teammate and leader.

Josey Carney – Mt. View-Gotebo

Josey is a four-year starter and the leader of her team. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her team has a chance to win every game. She is a force at the plate and on the field.

Soccer

Armando Santoyo – Clinton Boys

Armando is the heart and soul of his team and he leads by example on and off the field. He is a quiet leader who leads through his actions. He puts the goals of the team ahead of himself. He is capable of playing any position on the field. He is willing to play anywhere and do whatever it takes to make the team successful.         

Hayden Boone – Elk City Boys

A hard worker, Boone is always working hard to improve his skills. He is always ready to help his team in whatever way he can.

Jake Crisp – Weatherford Boys

Jake has been a three-year starter at goal keeper. He averaged less than one goal last season with ten shut-outs.
