Canute’s Delainee Moore – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Canute FFA – Delainee Moore

Serving as President of the Canute FFA chapter, Delainee Moore devotes her time to making the FFA experience great for everyone involved. She got her start in the 4-H Club like many of her peers.

“I first got involved in FFA in 8th grade,” Moore said. “I got involved through showing I showed in 4-H so when I got to 8th grade I just joined.”

Showing livestock is an activity many students across Oklahoma perform, including Moore. Currently she shows pigs, sheep and cattle. Judging livestock was a natural progression for Moore.

“I enjoy showing, and I do livestock judging,” said Moore.

But FFA is more than just livestock. For Moore, it’s also about making friends and meeting new people from across the state.

“I’ve made some of my best friends through FFA,” said Moore.

Now in her sophomore year, Moore is involved in STUCO and plans to attend college after she graduates. She said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“I plan to go to college, and I want to go to nursing school,” Moore said. “I would tell them that they need to involve themselves in as much as they can.”

FFA offers something for every student while teaching life skills you will carry with you into college and beyond.
