
VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?
Maylee: I am a freshman at Elk City High School, where I am a member of the cheer team.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Maylee: Mrs. Barnett was probably my favorite teacher. She always made me feel important and valued.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Maylee: My sister, whom I competed with, because she put her all into her sport, and I have watched it all pay off. She cheers in college now, and I love watching her and seeing what I could accomplish, too.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Maylee: My mom because she shows me what a Godly person is, and I strive to be that kind of person too.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
Maylee: Between competitive cheer and sideline, cheer has taught me the value of teamwork and dedication.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Maylee: The accomplishment I am most proud of is making the NCA All-American as a Freshman.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Maylee: My all-time favorite is definitely my mom’s lasagna.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Maylee: I am involved in FCCLA, and I am also involved in my church by volunteering in the kids’ ministry and on our Youth Leadership Team.

Maylee: I want to give a HUGE Thank you to all of my coaches I have had throughout my cheer career. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
