WILSON EAGLES
Coach: JUSTIN KANA
2024-25 Record: 13-13
The Wilson Eagles enter the 2026 season with renewed energy and a focus on growth under first-year head coach Justin Kana. After a .500 finish last year, the team is determined to improve and establish a fast, aggressive style of play. With a mix of returning starters and emerging talent, the Eagles aim to blend experience with athleticism, building a team that can compete at a high level while setting the foundation for success in the coming seasons. Practices this offseason have emphasized speed, spacing, and unselfish basketball, preparing the Eagles to push the pace and maximize their strengths on both ends of the court.

Junior point guard Case Kana (6-3, Jr.) leads the team as a dynamic floor general and scoring threat. A two-year starter, Kana excels at reading defenses, creating opportunities for teammates, and attacking the basket with poise and determination. His work ethic, combined with his ability to control tempo and make smart decisions under pressure, makes him the centerpiece of the Eagles’ offense. Junior center Matt Bone (6-6, Jr.) anchors the frontcourt with size, strength, and rebounding prowess. Bone’s presence inside gives the Eagles a reliable defensive anchor and a consistent scoring option near the basket.
Junior power forward Cooper Burkhart (6-4, Jr.) and senior shooting guard Josh Gage (5-10, Sr.) round out the returning starters. Burkhart brings versatility, rebounding, and defensive intensity, while Gage provides experience and stability in the backcourt. Junior guards Easton Miller (6-0, Jr.) and Weston Miller (5-11, Jr.) add depth on the perimeter, combining athleticism with defensive effort and the ability to contribute offensively when called upon.
Senior point guard Alex McKendrick (5-8, Sr.), junior shooting guard Bobby Adams (6-0, Jr.), and junior guard Noah Covey (6-1, Jr.) provide additional depth, leadership, and flexibility in key rotations. Sophomores Owen Munholland (6-2, So.), Olis Burch (6-0, So.), Braden Casteel (6-1, So.), and Carter Fulton (5-11, So.) offer athleticism and energy off the bench, contributing to the team’s depth and future potential.
The Eagles are emphasizing toughness, discipline, and teamwork, building a culture where every player is accountable and encouraged to improve. With leadership from Kana, Bone, and Burkhart, along with the growing contributions of underclassmen, the Wilson Eagles aim to translate effort and preparation into wins, compete at a high level, and make a deeper playoff run this season.
