“Getting to be with my best friends who all share the same passion for shooting and going new places to make new memories.
Making the transition from high school to college can be difficult for some. Pence said the transition for her was easier than most, thanks to a group of friends at WOSC.
I had a really good transition. Found great groups of people I got really involved and made college very enjoyable to me,” said Pence.
Finding other activities to involve herself in is something Pence does very well. Aside from being a member of the shooting team, Pence devotes time to the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Western Ambassadors, Western Ag Ambassador and the Collegiate Cattle Association.
Pence said there are many reasons she chose WOSC.
“I enjoy being involved on the shooting team and participating in BCM events. These groups have allowed me to grow in the things I am passionate about while also making new friends from all over the world, who have become like family to me,” Pence said. “College is what you make it! Get involved, join organizations, ask question.”
As for her favorite spot around campus?
“My favorite place on Campus is either the Point to play a game of pool and hangout or Pioneer Central our new “spot” on campus to get work done or sit and chat,” said Pence.
