MADILL WILDCATS
GIRLS
Coach: Eric Holmes
23-24 Record: 17-15
With every new sports season comes optimism and excitement. Teams look forward to starting with a clean slate and seeing their hard work produce wins on the court. Madill girls head coach Eric Holmes says that his squad has the potential to have a great season if they can avoid one thing. “Our team’s success will solely rely on the health of the team,” Holmes said. “If everyone’s healthy, we will be a force to reckon with.” Luciana Douglas (5-7, Sr.) was the team’s leading scorer last season and she is highly impressive in the open court.
“ ”She can knock down shots, play tenacious defense, and also be a force at getting to the basket. She was All-Conference last season and a standout player and looks to continue that kind of production this season. A new face on the team that is looking to make an immediate impact is Elexis Holmes (6-1, Fr.). She is a combo guard that can do it all. She already has offers from a number of big time schools, and is getting looks from others. Another freshman that will look to make some big contributions this season is Chloe Miller (5-8, Fr.). She can play all five positions and will help make this a team to have to deal with in the postseason. Other Lady Wildcats to watch out for are Eniyah Holmes (6-0, Jr.), Lamiyah Brown (5-4, Jr.), Arlette Andrade (5-6, So.), La Taylor (5-6, Fr.), Karma Williams (5-6, Fr.), Allyson Coles (6-1, Jr.), Lily Valadez (5-7, Fr.), Inay Barrios (5-5, Fr.), Ireland Grober (5-6, Sr.), and Eryanna Rollerson-Holmes (5-7, Jr.).
