KINGSTON LADY REDSKINS
Coach: CHAD RUMER
2024-25 Record: 19-9
The Kingston Lady Redskins enter the new season coming off a strong 19–9 record, and while the program will feel the loss of two key seniors, Joley Heydon and Jaci Herndon, the returning core gives the team a solid foundation to build upon. With three returning starters and one player coming back from a hip injury, the Lady Redskins are poised for growth as the season progresses. Early in the year, the focus will be on developing chemistry, learning the system, and giving younger players the experience needed to contribute in meaningful ways.
Junior forward Cassidy Walker (5-7, Jr.) anchors the frontcourt with her quickness and athleticism. Though undersized for a rebounder, she makes up for it with effort, positioning, and relentless work on both ends of the floor. Walker’s energy sets the tone for the team, and her commitment to improving each day makes her a critical piece for Kingston’s success.
Junior guard Avery Ludrick (5-7, Jr.) combines athleticism with leadership both on and off the court. A 4.0 student and FCCLA president, Ludrick brings a high level of discipline and work ethic that inspires teammates. She is consistently dependable, executes the coach’s instructions, and contributes as a playmaker and scorer in the backcourt.
Returning junior forward Liv McCalister (5-10, Jr.) adds size and versatility to the lineup. Her ability to stretch the floor, play inside-out, and protect the rim gives Kingston a reliable presence in the paint. Sophomore guard Taylie Wiebener (5-10, So.) is a rising contributor, expected to gain confidence and minutes as the year progresses. Freshman forward Dilynn Weeks (5-10, Fr.) brings youth, length, and the potential to make an impact down the line as she gains experience against varsity competition.
While replacing the production of Heydon and Herndon will be a challenge, the Lady Redskins embrace the opportunity to grow together as a team. Coach Chad Rumer emphasizes teamwork, effort, and development, ensuring that every player understands her role and contributes to the program’s culture. Kingston’s strength lies in its depth, work ethic, and willingness to compete, and as the younger players gain experience, the Lady Redskins are expected to finish the season strong and build momentum for the years ahead.
