Brandon Bittner

7-19

The Lady Comets are looking to build off of last season and make some noise this postseason. Head coach Brandon Bittner says that his squad will be battle tested once the playoffs roll around. “We have a young team,” Bittner said. “We will be led by sophomore guards Brilee Williams and Emma Gore. The schedule is solid and we are in three tough tournaments so we should be tested plenty in the regular season to get us ready for the playoffs.” Brilee Williams (5-7, So.) was the second-leading scorer and led the team in three-pointers made as a freshman.

The team’s leading scorer from last year graduated and Brilee has embraced that go-to-player role. She averaged around 20 points per game over the summer in team camp games. Looking to make an impact this season is Bailey Robinson (5-7, Fr.). She is long and fast and she is a slasher that can shoot. She has the potential to be near the top in a lot of statistical categories for the team this year. Emma Gore (5-0, So.) is a floor general, solid shooter, and a good on the ball defender. She is also able to get a lot of steals. Other members of the team to keep an eye on this season are Alyssa Williams (5-3, Fr.), Mareya Green (5-4, Sr.), Brooklyn Suffal (5-5, So.), Stormy Hughes (5-2, Jr.), Kydnz Faulkner (5-4, Fr.), Kiarah McGee (5-5, Sr.), Ella Black (5-10, Jr.), Lola Smith (5-10, Fr.), Summer Smith (5-6, Sr.), and Karlie Bennett (5-5, Fr.).
