DAVIS LADY WOLVES
Coach: JEFF BROWN
2024-25 Record: 22-4
Change and opportunity define the Lady Wolves as they enter the 2025–26 season. After an outstanding 22-4 record last year, head coach Jeff Brown, now in his 14th year at the school, faces the challenge of blending experienced returners with talented newcomers. With three starters returning and a roster bolstered by two impactful transfers, the Lady Wolves are poised to combine speed, athleticism, and depth to remain a dominant force in the region. The emphasis this year will be on quick, aggressive play, smart decision-making, and developing the young talent ready to step into key roles.
Senior guard Jakobi LaNoy (5-8, Sr.) returns as the team’s offensive engine. Last season she led the Lady Wolves in scoring while serving as a floor general, making clutch plays and setting the tone with her leadership. LaNoy’s ability to create opportunities for herself and teammates makes her the centerpiece of the offense and a natural leader as the team navigates the challenges of a changing roster.
Junior guard Kaycee Chancellor (5-6, Jr.) and sophomore guard Montana Carter (5-7, So.) add depth and versatility to the backcourt. Carter, a standout athlete who placed third in the 100 hurdles as a freshman, started every game last season and emerged as a defensive standout by mid-January. She closed the year leading the team in scoring during the final weeks and playoffs, showcasing her ability to shine in high-pressure moments.
In the frontcourt, senior Lily Hefley (5-7, Sr.) provides energy and poise off the bench. Known for her clutch three-pointers and strong defensive presence, Hefley has been a reliable contributor throughout her high school career. Her positive attitude and team-first mentality set an example for younger players, demonstrating that leadership isn’t limited to the starting lineup.
Freshman guard Heidi Schroeder (5-4, Fr.) and the two incoming transfers are expected to make an immediate impact, bringing athleticism and versatility to a squad that thrives on pace and intensity.
With a blend of proven leadership, emerging talent, and strategic depth, the Lady Wolves are ready to maintain their status as a fast, aggressive, and competitive team. If they can harness their athleticism and work together cohesively, the 2025–26 season could be another memorable chapter in the program’s successful run under Coach Brown.
