The Lady Blue Devils have high expectations this season. They are coming off of a season that saw them end with a 20-7 record and a trip to the Area playoffs. Head coach Chris Gates says that the team has one goal on its mind. “We graduated one bench player off of our team from last season,” Gates stated. “Our goal is to hang a banner when this season ends.” Avery Dyke (5-9, So.) is a tall guard with strength, quickness, and defends hard. She lives in the gym, and puts in a lot of extra hours into her game. She will be a great player in her career. Another key player this season will be Phylisha Jiang (5-6, So.). She has a natural scoring ability that is hard to teach. She has a chance to have a breakout season and be a great scorer. Other players looking to make an impact this season are Rainey King (5-8, Sr.), Anne Dyke (5-8, Sr.), Kayla Meason (5-9, Sr.), Kynlee Edgmon (5-8, Sr.), Devyn Edmonds (5-6, Sr.), Jenna Spence (5-10, So.), Katie Duermyer (5-5, So.), Lexie Lindsay (5-8, So.), J.T. Aguilera (5-8, Jr.), Taylor Medcalf (5-8, Fr.), Kynlea Miller (5-9, Fr.), Rikiaya Graham (5-7, Fr.), and Jaden Sansome (5-6, Fr.).
