Cache’s Karter Seals – Golf Spotlight

Karter Seals plays golf for Cache High School. He enjoys playing the game and it is no surprise with his family history with the game.

“I come from a family that loves to golf,” he said. “My dad, uncle, and aunt went to college for golf.”

Karter is a sophomore at Cache. Along with golf, he also plays basketball, is part of the Student Council and the National Honor Society.

Though he has been around the game of golf for quite some time, Seals knows that it takes more than just talent to be successful.

“It takes a lot of work,” he said. “But you also need to have fun while you are doing it. I think the highlight of my career would be placing tenth at state as a freshman.”

In both of his sports, Karter competes alongside some outstanding athletes as his teammates. He says that they do a great job of helping each other get better and he has one that he enjoys practicing against the most.

“Remi Epperson is probably my favorite teammate to go up against,” he said. “He is so disciplined and he makes the team better.”

His desire to be successful on the golf course is in part because he wants to be his best. But he also wants to make a name for his school.

“It means a lot to be able to represent Cache when I am out on the course,” he stated. “There have not been too many good golfers to come from Cache.”

Anytime he is out on the course, Seals works hard to be whoever he is playing against. But out of all of his opponents, he says that there is one that he always enjoys beating.

“That would probably be my dad because he is supposed to be pretty good,” he said.
