Five starters return, and several others have gained valuable varsity experience, giving MacArthur a deeper pool of contributors ready to step into larger roles. The team’s identity centers on effort, enthusiasm, and competitiveness, with strong senior leadership setting the tone in practices and games.
Senior Kahlayah Brown headlines that leadership group as a three-year starter and the team’s offensive catalyst. A dynamic presence at the top of the lineup, Brown combines speed, power, and versatility while anchoring the infield at shortstop. In the outfield, Dylan Andrews brings stability as a returning starter expected to patrol center field, using her range and consistent bat to impact games on both sides.
Peyton Capps adds versatility as an underclassman capable of contributing anywhere on the field, having already proven herself as a reliable option in the outfield. Meanwhile, Grier Garza continues to expand her role after making an impact with her speed last season, bringing energy and a team-first mentality that resonates throughout the roster.
While the Highlanders may be young, their work ethic and drive have created a foundation for growth. As the season unfolds, MacArthur aims to turn that potential into consistent performance and take meaningful steps forward as a program.
