QUICK HITS:
The Eagles defeated rival Lawton High 41-33. It was the second win in three seasons against the Wolverines. Lawton had won the previous 12 games. Eisenhower last won the city championship in 2006. Eisenhower has reached the five win plateau in two of the last three seasons. The Eagles haven’t recorded a winning season since 2010. Carl Albert is on the Eisenhower schedule for the ninth consecutive season. The Titans have emerged victorious in all eight previous contests. The Eagles last beat Carl Albert 36-20 in 1963.

OFFENSE
The Eagles enter this season ready to build off last season and make some noise this year. Third year head coach Javon Harris knows that his team will lean on experienced players to help the team be successful. “We are looking to come into Class 6A-2 running and make a statement,” Harris said. “We will have Charlie Trachte, Rashaud Hurt, and Serri Sheridan back for their third season as starters and they should have a big impact on the season.” Charlie Trachte (5-8, 175, Sr.) is back to lead the offense at quarterback. He is a great kid that always shows up and does what needs to be done with no complaints. Running back Rashaud Hurt (6-1, 205, Sr.) is back after suffering a torn ACL in the third game last season. He has already received offers from Tulsa and North Texas and will probably see more come in. A prime target for Trachte to get the ball to is wide receiver Serri Sheridan (5-10, 175, Sr.). He totaled 707 receiving yards and ten touchdown receptions last year, and also added 153 yards and three scores on the ground. Jabari Sheppard (5-10, 200, Jr.) at running back and Aiden Dingle (6-0, 180, Sr.) at halfback will also look to add big contributions this season from the backfield. Anchoring the offensive line will be Milo Wyatt (6-4, 280, Jr.).

DEFENSE
The Eagles defense gave up an average of 30 points per game last season. They know that they willhave to lower that average in order to improve this year. They have good athletic and tough players at all three levels that will look to have abig influence on the season. Up front on the defensive line will be TJ Jones (6-0, 285, Jr.) and Isaiah Esquivel (5-9, 200, Sr.). They will work to wreak havoc and cause problems for their opponents. Dingle will be at linebacker where he will have his head on a swivel and ready to attack the ball. In the secondary, Curtis Pelham (5-10, 165, So.) and Sheridan will be ready to shut down the offense’s big plays. Assistant coaches for the Eagles this season are Jon Willis, Jake Rippy, Terry Bell, Jordan Nix, Deion Jordan, Abraham Alaelua, Desmond Jordan, and Kevin Lowthian.
