Luke Thrasher – Central Marlow High School Football, Basketball, Baseball, Golf

Luke Trasher is a multi-sport athlete at Central Marlow High School, playing football, basketball, baseball, and golf. In football, Luke is a tight end and defensive end, in basketball Luke plays the position of guard, and in baseball Luke plays the positions of center field and pitcher.
Luke explained his experience in sports, “I played a little football when I was younger and then played my first year of high school this year. For basketball I have played ever since I was in first grade. For baseball I played when I was younger and quit for a while, and then whenever I was in 8th grade I started playing again. I played a little golf when I was little, quit for a while then started back up last year.
“ ”“Representing my school and community means the world to me. I am playing sports to go to college, but having the support of a community makes it even better. Last year for districts we went played at Caddo, and so many people showed up to support us; it really shows that our community is behind us. I want to be able to do anything I can for the school and community. This school and community have given me so much, so I just want to do everything I can to give back.”
Luke looks to a multitude of sources for motivation. Luke stated, “My friends and family motivate me, my coaches motivate me, and my girlfriend motivate me, However, what motivates me the most is my competitive edge to never want to lose. I hate losing more than anything so I am always going to try and win and be the best I can be.”
In addition to playing sports for Central Marlow, Luke is involved in other extra-circular activities including The FFA Organization, and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
After high school, Luke plans on continuing his education, while playing collegiate sports. Luke stated, “My plans after graduating high school are to go play Division 1 College Basketball, get a degree in sports medicine, and then end up getting married.”
