RUSH SPRINGS REDSKINS

Coach: TIM BEARD

5-5

OFFENSE

The Rush Springs Redskins enter the 2025 season with optimism and determination to make a push into the playoffs. For Coach Tim Beard and his staff, staying healthy will be the key to success. With a strong core of seniors and experienced players, this group has the leadership needed to compete week in and week out. At the center of the offense is quarterback Cord Jones (5-11, 150, Sr.), a two-year starter and one of the team’s best all-around football players. Jones has an excellent understanding of the game and throws the ball with confidence and accuracy. Jake Tumblson (5-10, 195, Sr.) will be counted on to provide toughness and production in the running game. Up front, Cade Jones (6-4, 265, Jr.) anchors the offensive line with the size and strength to open holes and protect the quarterback. Derrick Boyster, who joined the program last year as a sophomore, brings big-play ability as both a receiver and a runner. Coaches are excited about his potential to be an impact player. Sophomore Caysen Silverhorn, already an accomplished powerlifter who finished second in the state as a freshman in the 181-pound class, will bring strength and explosiveness to the backfield.

DEFENSE

On defense, the Redskins will rely on a mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent. Devyn Gill (6-0, 188, Sr.) and Casen Bratcher (6-1, 185, Sr.) provide experience and physicality. Evan Martinez (5-8, 185, Jr.) adds depth and consistency, while Leland Reed (6-1, 164, Jr.) has a nose for the ball after recording four interceptions last season. Silverhorn will contribute at outside linebacker, where his toughness and strength should make an immediate impact. Judson Jones, a junior who has started before, is undersized at times but plays with relentless effort and heart. Beyond the stat sheet, the Redskins draw inspiration from Trent Hoover, a young man with special needs who attends every practice and game. Trent’s presence is a reminder of what matters most, and he makes everyone around him better. With senior leadership, promising underclassmen, and a unified locker room, Rush Springs has the pieces in place to contend in 2025—if they can stay healthy.
