2024 Ringling Cheer – Presented by Vincent Vacations

Brittany Taylor is in her eighth year of coaching cheer at Ringling Public Schools. She started out coaching in middle school, then she moved to junior high, and for the last four years, she has coached the varsity squad. She is proud of her squad and how hard they work.

“My team’s biggest strength is that they are willing to do what needs to be done,” She said. “Whether it is to hit a new stunt or learn new choreographed moves, they always give it their all.”

With her coaching transition from middle school to high school, Taylor is pretty fond of her upperclassmen this year.

“This group of seniors have been with me since middle school,” she said. “I am going to miss them and the personalities they bring to the squad.”

Madisson VanBuskirk is a senior and the captain of this year’s squad. She says that being a part of the Blue Devil cheer squad is something that she is proud of.

“I love being able to represent my school by leading school spirit and encouraging fans to do the same,” Madisson said. “The feeling of being on the sidelines, cheering on the Blue Devils, is unmatched and is gratifying to spread my spirit to the entire community. I enjoy working with my squad to develop new skills and growing closer individually as well as a team. We have great connections which make every moment together incredible. It’s truly special to be a part of such a close-knit and encouraging team.”

The team’s hard work and dedication is evident in the awards that they have brought home from various competitions.
“At camp this summer, we won superior and excellence ribbons for our cheer routine and camp routine daily,” coach Taylor said. “We received a trophy for third place overall in our cheer routine on the last day, second place trophy for our band dance routine, and first place trophy overall in the game day routine.  Our mascot Liv Loring received a trophy for the overall Leadership award. Also, Madisson VanBuskirk won the All-American award”
