VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Kayleigh: I am a junior at Chickasha High School. I play basketball and run track.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Kayleigh: There’s a lot of people who inspire me but overall, I would say my dad inspires me the most. He has always been a great role model in my life.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Kayleigh: Serenity Golightly has left the biggest impression as a teammate in basketball and track. She always gave her all in practice which motivated me and she had a positive attitude towards things.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Kayleigh: One of my proudest accomplishments is being awarded the Defensive Player of the Year for the 23-24 season. I’m committed to maintaining that level of performance and continue to put in the hard work every day.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Kayleigh: My favorite part about representing my high school as an athlete is the chance to inspire other students to get involved. It shows that sports can be a fun and rewarding high school experience.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Kayleigh: The best advice someone has given me was to give it my 100% at whatever i do in life. It’s not about the mistake you make, but how you respond to them that truly matters.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Kayleigh: I am also involved in the National Honor Society
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Kayleigh: Steak and a salad
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Kayleigh: Hawaii with my sisters
