Q&A with Chickasha’s Kaden Kimbro – Presented by Community Bank

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Kaden: I am a freshman at Chickasha and I play basketball and run track.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Kaden: When my eighth grade Pioneer team made it to state and in the first game I had 22
points even though we lost it was a very fun experience.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
Kaden: Basketball taught me that it’s more than just a game. It teaches you how to control your
emotions. Maybe if you’re losing it can teach you how to still have good body language or even
if you’re winning but you just feel like you’re not playing well and still have good body language
that what coaches see the most.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Kaden: The teammate that left the biggest impression on me is Dylan Curtis. Dylan and I have
been friends since fifth grade and are still best friends. He and I have played together for five
years straight on the same teams AAU and school ball.

VYPE: Who inspires you?
Kaden: My mom inspires me the most because when she was a single mom it was just her, my
sister, and me. She always found a way to get us the stuff we wanted and needed. She is truly
the most inspiring and best mom ever.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Kaden: I want to shout out to my dad because he comes to basically all of my games and is
always there for me and has always pushed me to be a good person and player. He was willing
to wake up early and have to drive over an hour to take me to tournaments and is always there
for me if I need something.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Kaden: My favorite teacher ever was a substitute teacher named Mrs. Lilly. She was my favorite
teacher ever because she was the most understanding and just so funny and chill and super
nice to everyone.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Kaden: It would have to be a 16 ounce ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and macaroni and
cheese with strawberry lemonade to drink.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take
with you?
Kaden: I would pick Spain because they have cool history there and it’s a very pretty place to
tour and I have a lot of family from there.
