
Landon McMahon – Minco High School Football, Basketball, and Baseball

Minco High School senior Landon McMahon is a multisport athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball for the Minco High School Bulldogs. In football, Landon plays the positions of receiver and outside linebacker; in basketball, Landon plays guard, and in baseball, Landon plays utility and pitcher. Landon is a true sports veteran having played football since 5th grade, basketball since the age of 3 years old, and started playing baseball also at the age of 3.
Landon is proud to represent both his school and community as a student athlete. Landon proclaimed, “It means more than anything to represent Minco, and show what it means to be a Bulldog.”
In terms of what motivates Landon, he stated, “What motivates me is wanting to be the best, and making an impact on others.”
When it comes to his biggest role model, Landon looks toward family as the source. Landon stated, “My biggest role model is oldest brother Luke. He was always tough on me growing up, and taught me how to handle adversity.”
As far as what it has taken for Landon to become successful in sports, Landon stated, “It has taken many long days and practices, as well as staying disciplined, even when no one is looking.”
During a student athlete’s academic career, there is often a teacher that has stood out during their academic journey. Landon stated, “The teacher that stood out the most to me is Mrs. Schroeder. She has always wanted the best for me and has provided me with great advice about life.”
Many memories are made as a student athlete, often with one moment standing out the most. Landon stated, “The highlight of my career would be going out to eat with the team after our games.”
In addition to being a multisport athlete, Landon is also involved with The National Honor Society, and Student Council at Minco High School.
After graduating from Minco High School, Landon plans on pursuing higher education. Landon stated, “After high school, I plan to attend Oklahoma State University, and obtain a degree in Construction Engineering Technology.”
