Lindsay’s Jasey Anderson- Athlete Spotlight- Presented by Raised on Faith Apparel

Lindsay High School senior Jasey Anderson sees cheerleading as more than an athletic activity. As a main base, she helps provide the strength and stability behind the team’s stunts while building relationships that extend beyond the practice floor.

“I enjoy getting to do cool stunts and I enjoy getting to call my team my family,” Anderson said.

Anderson has devoted seven months to preparing before the school year begins. The commitment has required focus, patience and resilience — qualities she believes will serve her well long after high school.

“Athletics has taught me perseverance, to not give up when thints get hard,” Anderson said.

Her faith is central to the way she approaches school, sports and daily life. When asked who inspires her, Anderson gave a direct answer: “The Lord because he died for my sins.”

She also points to former teammates and role models who have demonstrated their faith through their actions. Breckynn Cline made a lasting impact, Anderson said, because “She is always showing her love for the Lord and showing what it is like to live for the Lord!”

Tessa Inman has also left a strong impression on Anderson. “Tessa Inman because she was always so joyful and made everyone feel welcome! she showed her love for Christ everyday and I love that about her! she is such a kind and hard working woman!” Anderson said.

Outside cheer, Anderson balances a full schedule. She participates in FCA, student council, FCCLA, National Honor Society, softball and basketball. She serves as a First American Student Representative and JOM member, identifies as a proud member of the Choctaw Nation, and aids in a first-grade classroom and the high school office. She is also a leader and member of E4 students at First Baptist Church in Lindsay.

Math is Anderson’s favorite subject, and Coach Autry is her favorite teacher. During quieter moments, she enjoys spending time with family. “I enjoy taking naps at my nana and papa’s house during my free time,” Anderson said.

For Anderson, the support surrounding local athletes remains one of the community’s greatest strengths. “My favorite thing about my hometown is that our community is so loving and always cheering our athletes on as they go throughout the year,” she said.
