LINDSAY LEOPARDS
Coach: TIMOTHY BOYER
2024-25: 18-10
The Lindsay Leopards boys basketball team is entering the 2025-2026 season with renewed energy, a new head coach, and a strong returning core ready to build on last year’s success. Under first-year coach Timothy Boyer, the Leopards are looking to push the pace offensively, create easy scoring opportunities in transition, and build a team that can trust one another on both ends of the floor. With six of their top seven players returning from last year’s 18-win team that made it to the area tournament, the Leopards bring experience, skill, and versatility to the court.
Leading the way is senior Creed Taylor (5-11, Sr.), one of the best shooters Coach Boyer has ever coached. Taylor averaged 12.3 points per game as a junior and shot an impressive 45% from three-point range. He’s spent countless hours in the gym this summer, ready to take on a larger role in the Leopards’ faster-paced offense. Complementing him is junior Isaac Cameron (6-2, Jr.), the team’s versatile Swiss Army knife. Cameron excels at driving to the basket, securing rebounds, and creating second-chance opportunities, making him a constant threat on the floor.
In the post, senior Gustavo Torres (6-4, Sr.) provides a skilled and athletic presence, able to pass, score, and defend in the middle, while Boomer Brooks and Thomas Williams add depth and leadership up front. Senior Armando Hernandez (5-10, Sr.) runs the point with quickness and precision, combining playmaking and defensive tenacity, and Hunter Russell (6-1, Sr.) returns ready to provide scoring off the bench after a strong finish to last season.
The Leopards also have a strong supporting cast. Seniors Maverick Dodson (5-10, Sr.), Tugh Faught (6-3, Sr.), Dutton Taylor (6-1, Sr.), Keegan Gibson (6-2, Sr.), junior Zac Howie (5-7, Jr.), and sophomores Crew Flood (6-1, So.), Abel Williams (6-2, So.), Reed Dorman (6-0, So.) bring depth, athleticism, and defensive toughness. Incoming freshman Hudsyn Harris (5-9, Fr.) is already challenging for minutes with his polished skill set and basketball IQ.
Coach Boyer believes this year’s Leopards could be dangerous if they buy into the defensive philosophy and continue sharing the basketball. “Everyone on the court can score for us,” he said. “If we play together, trust each other, and defend with intensity, we have the potential to be a very good team.”
With a combination of experienced seniors, talented underclassmen, and a high-energy style of play, the Lindsay Leopards are poised for an exciting season full of growth, chemistry, and memorable moments.
