For Brynna Davis, a senior at Fort Cobb-Broxton High School, athletics has been a lifelong journey fueled by passion, family, and competition. A standout in both softball and basketball, Brynna has mastered multiple positions on the field and court, including pitcher, second base, and outfield in softball, and shooting guard and small forward in basketball. Her love for the game and a fierce dislike of losing drive her to give her all in every practice and competition.
“My biggest motivation? I love the game, and I love to compete,” Brynna said. “I hate losing more than I want to win, and that really pushes me to be my best.” Her competitive spirit is matched by the support of her family. Her dad has been by her side through every game, practice, and travel ball event, and her athletic lineage runs deep. Brynna is also the granddaughter of Ken Davis, a legendary coach with over 40 years of leading girls’ basketball at Anadarko, Cement, and Binger-Oney High Schools.
Academics and mentorship also play an important role in her life. She credits Coach Kelsi Schumpert as her favorite teacher, someone who has provided guidance and encouragement both on and off the court. Brynna’s approach to success is rooted in hard work, perseverance, and a strong support system at home. Her most memorable moment came after overcoming a season-ending ACL injury, returning to the court with determination and poise.
Brynna thrives in team settings, pushing herself alongside teammates like Teagan Bellamy, who challenges her every practice. She also recognizes those whose efforts may go unnoticed, like Lanai Tselee, a post player who does the little things that make a big difference. Her involvement extends beyond athletics to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America organization, youth group, and advocacy for her little brother Ben’s charity, the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma.

Balancing school and sports requires time management, organization, and discipline, and Brynna approaches it all with dedication. Representing Fort Cobb-Broxton holds deep meaning for her. “I’ve been at FCB since kindergarten. Wearing the blue and representing my school has always been a great honor,” she said.
Brynna Davis embodies the spirit of a true student-athlete: hardworking, resilient, and committed to excellence, on the field, on the court, and in her community.
