Dibble High School junior Bella Hearon is passionate about softball, playing both fastpitch and slow-pitch softball. Bella plays the positions of third base, shortstop, and pitcher for the Dibble High School Demons. She has been playing softball for 13 years.
When it comes to representing her school and her community, Bella proclaimed, “I absolutely love the Dibble Community. Once I finally moved to Dibble, I felt like I had found my home; it was way better than my experience at my old school.”
In regards to her biggest influence, Bella looks towards family. Bella explained, “My biggest influence is my dad. He has always been my coach, and has pushed me to be the best I can be.”
Bella also stated, “Tommy and Ashli Hafford have also had a great impact on my softball career. They have both been important coaches and mentors to me since I was little. I look up to Ashli a lot and she has guided me through my softball career both mentally and physically.”
Asked what it has taken for Bella to become successful in softball, Bella stated, “It has taken hard work and dedication.”
As far as a teacher that had the greatest impact on Bella, she stated, “Mrs. Bordwine has impacted me the most because she always has a good attitude and brings out the best sides of people. She has also always supported me in everything I do.”
Many memories are made during the time a student athlete is involved with sports. One particular memory for Bella stands out the most. “The memory that stands out the most is being the first ever Dibble softball team to make it to the state tournament, which happened during my freshman year.”
In addition to playing softball for the Dibble High School Demons, Bella is a member of the
National Honor Society, as well as a member of The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
After graduating from high school, Bella plans on pursuing higher education. “After graduating from high school, I would like to study sonography somewhere in Oklahoma.”
