Varsity softball player and National Honor Society member Aubrey Coble is more than just a student-athlete who excels in the classroom, she’s also a member of the FFA chapter at Chickasha High School. An activity she joined when she was a freshman.
“My teacher Mrs. Schmidt, and a few girls who were juniors in my ag class encouraged me to join a CDE team in the spring, and they are the reason I am involved now,” Coble said. “The things I enjoy most about FFA are the opportunities to improve at numerous different things and the friendships I have made.”
Serving as the Secretary of the officer team, Coble has participated in many other activities with the chapter.
“I have been a member of both the Land Judging and Homesite CDE teams, and I show sheep, their names are Pepper and Pedro,” Coble said. “I am also involved in the ministry team at Bible Baptist Chickasha.”
Softball is in her blood, and she loves being around her teammates.
“The thing I love most about being involved with softball is the relationships I have developed with my teammates and the support system we have all built for each other. I have been a member of the CHS softball team for the past four years and played softball since I was in the third grade,” said Coble.
Once her high school days come to an end, Coble plans to attend Oklahoma State University where she will major in Applied Exercise Science.
