CHICKASHA FIGHTIN CHICKS

BOYS

Coach: Roger Raper

23-24: 3-22

Head coach Roger Raper and his squad are looking to build off of last season and see improved play on the court. In order to do so, they will need some players to step up and play a bigger role. “We will be very young again this season, returning only one senior from last season,” he said. “We will have three seniors total but only one with any playing experience. I love how hard this team is working and the efforts they are bringing each day. This will be a team that should grow as the season goes on and more and more players gain experience. Each new experience will be an opportunity to grow and we have seen growth throughout this fall. We can’t wait to get started.” Leading the team this season will be Brody Ross (6-5 , Jr.). He is an outstanding athlete and basketball player and will be a key to the team’s success this season. Dylan Curtis (6-0, Fr.) is a very athletic freshman that competes and can get to the basket. He should contend for valuable playing time this season. JK Van Ess (6-1, Jr.) came back out to play this season and continues to improve. He is a great student and serves on many of the school’s clubs as a great leader. Other members of the team looking to contribute are Kylen Miller (5-7, So.), Brikk Hodges (6-0, Sr.), Kaiden Boswell (5-8 , Jr.), Austin Kinslow (5-8 , Jr.), Blake Dominguez (5-7, Sr.), Kiefer Woods (6-0 , Jr.), Dylan Curtis (6-o , Fr.), Keaton Mowery (6-0 , Fr.), JR Ashong (6-0, So.), and Kaden Kimbro (6-4 , Fr.).
