The Chickasha High School Boys Soccer Team is gearing up for an exciting new season under the leadership of Head Coach Damon Mantooth. After finishing last year with a 7–7 record and a tough first-round playoff loss to Clinton High School, the Fightin’ Chicks are hungrier than ever to build on what they’ve learned and make a deeper postseason run in 2026.
Coach Mantooth has worked to instill discipline, communication, and resilience as cornerstones of the program. “We took some hard lessons from last season,” he said. “But we’ve got a great group of players returning who know what it takes to win at this level.”
This year’s roster blends experienced upperclassmen with promising young talent stepping into key roles. The returning starters bring a sense of stability and leadership, while several underclassmen have impressed coaches during offseason training sessions. Players have spent the winter months focusing on conditioning and ball control, areas Coach Mantooth believes will give the team a competitive edge once district play begins.
The Fightin’ Chicks’ attacking style has long been a source of pride, known for quick passing and relentless pressure in the final third. With the team’s depth and renewed confidence, fans can expect an even more dynamic style of play this season. On defense, the emphasis is on organization and communication, ensuring the team stays composed under pressure against strong opponents.
Support from the Chickasha community continues to play a vital role in the team’s energy and motivation. Home matches at the high school stadium often draw enthusiastic crowds, giving the players an environment that feels both electrifying and supportive.
The upcoming season looks to be a proving ground for the Fightin’ Chicks, a chance to turn last year’s experience into progress. With Coach Mantooth’s leadership and a roster full of determination, the Chickasha Boys Soccer Team is ready to make its mark and chase another shot at playoff success.
