Aiden Anderson is a junior at Chickasha High School. He got started with Esports three years ago after discovering that he had some friends on the team. When he moved to Chickasha from Missouri, they were some of the first friends that he made, encouraging him to choose to participate. His favorite part about Esports is getting to see everyone on the team improve.
As a team player, Aiden works to be whatever his teammates need in that moment. Wether it’s someone to cheer them on, someone to play as an opponent for his teammate to practice their skills, or even someone to step in during a confrontation, Aiden’s there. His favorite part about participating in Esports is the time that he gets to spend with his team. Everyone around him has played a part in shaping him into who he is today. Aiden says “they are what give me purpose. I believe that everyone I’ve ever met needs to be valued as they have all helped to contribute into making me who I am today. Any and all time I can spend with them aids in my self improvement and builds my connections with them.”
Aiden likes to play Magic the Gathering, video games, and MMA in his free time. His favorite subject in school is science. Aiden has always loved science because it’s made the most sense throughout his life. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Turpin for being such a big supporter of his team, even before he was a part of it. After high school, Aiden plans to work with his dad to gain security for his future, afterwards he plans to attend college.
Through Esports, Aiden has learned how to be humble and perceptive. He says that to be a good athlete, you need focus, hard work, and the ability to learn from your teammates. His advice to other athletes is to find a reason beyond yourself to participate in a sport.
