VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?
Raylee: I am a sophomore at Chickasha High School. I participate in volleyball, powerlifting, cheer, stunt, and tumbling.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Raylee: Even though I do not do gymnastics, I’ve always looked up to Simone Biles because she is an amazing tumbler and a genuine person. She has overcome a lot of hardships, and that just shows me that even the best can get into their heads and overcome it, showing me that I can do the same.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Raylee: The accomplishment I am most proud of: I am proud to be in all honors classes, maintaining all A’s, all while playing five sports.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Raylee: KK Willard, one of my volleyball teammates, has left one of the biggest impressions on me. She is amazing to watch on the court, and I would love to be like her! She is also very thoughtful. She always comes up and checks on me and tells me how good I played or what I need to work on.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Raylee: Yes, there are a couple of activities I am involved in. I have done an internship with a local pet groomer. I love to volunteer in my free time, and I currently take pictures once a month with my photographer, who’s teaching me photography, which I hope to use to photograph nature.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Raylee: My favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Voyles from Chickasha Middle School. He helped not only teach me English, but I would say it’s one of my favorite and best and favorite subjects, thanks to him.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Raylee: My cheer team inspires me a lot! They always lift me up when I’m down and inspire me to do my best, have confidence, and be a better person.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go and who do you take with you?
Raylee: I would love to go to Hawaii. I haven’t traveled that much, and that’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. I definitely would bring my parents and my best friend, Jax.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Raylee: I want to say thank you to my parents. My mom and dad are my biggest supporters, and I love it when they come to watch me play my sports!
