OUTLOOK

Head coach Ty Harman returns after a season that witnessed Cyril make the state tournament. That appearance has the Cyril faithful hungry for more.

“We are coming off a state tournament appearance and did not have any of our top players graduate. We also have three new players that are expected to be major contributors,” coach Harman said.

Returning players like Nash Harman (6-1, Sr.) will play a big role in helping this team get back to the state tournament.

“We return our top scorer Nash Harman 27 points and second leading scorer Noah Martin (6-3, Sr.) 14 points. We have added Kellen Biffle (5-11, Sr.) an excellent defender/athlete and 14-point scorer and Tukker Hughes (5-7, Sr.) another 14-point player who has an enormous motor,” said Harman. “We also return Zayden Haworth (6-1, Sr.) a long lock down defender, Bravyn Thompson (6-0, So.) an athletic defender and rebounder who started as a freshman last year, Daylon Adamson (6-3, Sr.) a long athletic post defender who brings excellent energy, Braxton Hughes (6-2, Sr.) an excellent rebounder that always sends to be in the right place, Braden Hajj (5-6, Sr.), an energy guy who makes things happen when he is in the floor, Bryson Cocheran (5-8, Jr.) an athletic knock down shooter, along with the addition of Jared Maguire (5-8, Sr.) a three and defense player.”

Other players to watch include Aaron Woodward (6-0, So.), Brennan McGrath (5-9, Jr.), Lane Aldridge (5-7, Fr.), Colt Adamson (6-1, Jr.), Braxton Cocheran (6-2, So.), Raymond Payne (5-8, Jr.), River Thompson (6-0, Fr.), and Amerik Wilson (6-0, So.).

“Nash is also a three-time Caddo County All-Tournament team member winning MVP as a junior. Nash led us to the Caddo County tournament championship as a junior as well as a state tournament appearance. He is a three-level scorer being able to get to the rim hit the pullup as well as shoot the ball deep. He is also a lock down defender. Underclassman Bravyn Thompson started as a freshman on our state tournament team. A tremendous athlete who despite being only 6-foot plays above the rim. He is a great defender, rebounder, and an improved scorer,” coach Harman said.
