Mangum’s Lane Burnam – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Jackson County Memorial Hospital

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Lane: I am a sophomore at Mangum High School. I am on the football, track, baseball, and powerlifting teams.

VYPE: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
 Lane: Super Speed

VYPE: What is your favorite dessert?
 Lane: Chocolate Chip Cookies

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
 Lane: Steak

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
 Lane: It’s a three-way tie between Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Thurmond, and Mrs. McMahan because they always find a way to make class fun.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
 Lane: Mason Mitchell because he’s always there to make me work harder at practice

VYPE: Who inspires you?
 Lane: Probably my dad because before any wrestling match he tells me I can win it no matter who I am up against and even if I win or lose he is always there to tell me I did good and we will get them next time.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
 Lane: Trying to do my best to represent my school and put Mangum on the map.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
 Lane: Perseverance
