Hobart’s Jaxon Allison – Football Spotlight – Presented by Cattlemens Bank

For Hobart High School senior Jaxon Allison, football is more than just a game—it’s a family tradition and a way of life. A four-year starter on both sides of the ball, Jaxon’s connection to the sport runs deep. “With my dad being a coach, I’ve always been around the game, and I fell in love with it,” Jaxon shared, reflecting on how his early exposure to football shaped his path. “I’ve always looked up to the players I got to watch growing up, and that influenced me to play football.”

Jaxon’s biggest influence? No surprise there—it’s his father. “My dad has always been there for me, on the football field and off the field,” he said. That support has fueled Jaxon’s passion and dedication to the game, especially during tough times, like his freshman and sophomore years when Hobart struggled with back-to-back 2-8 seasons. “It was not a lot of fun, but we had all of our guys wanting to get Hobart football back to what it should be, and we worked our butts off,” he said. That hard work paid off when the Bearcats finished last season 6-5.

Jaxon’s leadership on the team, particularly as one of the “big guys” up front, is something he takes seriously. “My role on the team is being a leader upfront,” he explained. He credits his senior group, a tight-knit unit that has been playing together since sixth grade, for the team’s cohesion this year. “Everyone has bought in and knows what is expected.”

Looking back, Jaxon recalls last year’s victory over Walters as one of his favorite memories. “We heard from a lot of people that they didn’t think we would win, but we went out there and played one of our better games and beat them,” he said.

Jaxon has big goals for the future, aiming to be an All-Stater and help Hobart bring home the gold ball. After high school, he plans to continue playing college football and, if possible, pursue a coaching career. “I hope that I’m still playing college football, but if not, hopefully, I’m coaching,” Jaxon shared. Whether on the field or the sidelines, Jaxon Allison’s love for the game and the legacy he’s building at Hobart are undeniable.
