Braylin Hunt has built his senior year at Frederick High School on a foundation of discipline, faith and a deep connection to the Bomber tradition. A three-sport athlete competing in football, basketball and track, Hunt embraces every opportunity to grow, whether lining up at receiver and free safety, attacking the court as a shooting guard or pushing his limits as a sprinter.
Hunt’s motivation begins with his faith and the people around him. Grounded in his belief in Jesus Christ, he approaches each day with purpose, crediting that mindset for fueling his drive to improve. His father has played an equally important role, consistently pushing him to reach his full potential while setting an example of what it means to work hard and stay committed. Hunt also draws inspiration from former NFL linebacker Ray Lewis, whose intensity and message resonate with his own approach to both sports and life.
That mindset has already been tested. During his junior season, Hunt delivered one of the defining moments of his career in a playoff matchup against Hooker. On his second touchdown run of the night, he crossed the goal line despite breaking his right clavicle on the play. The injury was secondary to the moment, as his focus remained on doing whatever it took to help his team succeed.
Hunt’s competitive fire is especially evident in rivalry games, with matchups against Hobart standing out as some of his most memorable performances. Those contests, built on years of familiarity and back-and-forth battles, have consistently brought out his best.
While his individual moments stand out, Hunt places the highest value on team unity. He views his teammates as brothers, emphasizing a shared standard built on trust, accountability and equal effort. For Hunt, success is not defined by statistics, but by knowing he has given everything he has alongside his teammates.
Balancing academics and athletics is another area where Hunt remains focused. He understands the importance of excelling in the classroom while continuing to develop physically and mentally through sports. That balance reflects his overall approach to life, steady, disciplined and purpose-driven.
