Hollis heads into 2026 looking to build on back-to-back semifinal runs under third-year head coach Jeremy Robinson, who is in his ninth year with the program. After a 10-2 campaign last season, Robinson says the group is “looking to build off the last two years making it to the semi finals,” adding that the focus remains on execution and effort and that they “still have a lot to prove.” With six offensive starters and seven defensive starters returning, Hollis hopes its big-game experience shows up in the biggest moments this fall.
Offensively, the Twins and Double Tight attack again runs through senior quarterback Matt Parker (6-4, 170), who totaled 2,285 yards and 35 touchdowns last season and has accounted for 4,267 yards and 56 scores in two years as the starter. Robinson calls Parker a natural athlete who is difficult to game-plan for, praising his vision, dual-threat ability and strong arm, and noting he has been named district MVP two straight years. He will have a strong supporting cast, including junior receiver Sean Snellings (6-1, 185) and junior tight end/receiver Maddox Skorepa (6-3, 195), who give Hollis length and versatility on the perimeter. Sophomore Jake Parker (5-8, 180) moves into a bigger role at running back and receiver after leading the defense in tackles as a freshman, bringing toughness and vision to the backfield. The line will be anchored by senior Harper Doty (5-9, 225), a returning starter the staff plans to build around up front. Robinson expects the Tigers to still lean heavily on the run game but spread the ball more in a quick passing game, believing that what they lost in size they can make up for in overall team speed.
On defense, Hollis will line up in a 3-2, man-coverage scheme built on pressure, sound tackling and relentless pursuit. Senior linebacker Brody Whisenant (5-9, 210) returns after racking up 130 tackles and two forced fumbles, setting a physical tone in the middle. Jake Parker (5-8, 180) is back at safety/linebacker following a breakout freshman season with 137 tackles and three forced fumbles, while senior cornerback Isaac Luna (5-8, 145) adds experience after posting 55 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble. Up front, senior nose guard Klayton Seddon (5-8, 165) anchors the interior after making 98 tackles and forcing two fumbles, and edge defenders Snellings and Skorepa round out the front with 92 and 73 tackles respectively, plus multiple takeaways. Robinson wants “as many hats to the football as possible” and believes that if his players play fast, they can play defense for Hollis once again at a championship level.
