OFFENSE
The Cyclones enter the 2024 season with excitement and optimism. While last season did not go the way they wanted, they have worked hard in the offseason and head coach Kevin Kopp says they have the opportunity to have a solid season. “Our team will be led by eight seniors that will play a big part of our team,” he said. “Our team will have great size on the offensive and defensive lines, and we will have a lot of speed at our skill positions. One of our strengths I believe will be our role players, the ones that do not get their names in the paper. They just work hard and do not care; they just want our team to be successful. If our boys will continue to grow as a team, we could have a great season. I’m excited to see this team grow together.” Antonio Balderas (5-8, 140, Sr.) will lead the offense at quarterback. He has great speed, good vision, and a great touch on his passes. The offensive line will be anchored by Tilquaveon Aiken (6-2, 332, Sr.). Aiken has great feet and tremendous strength, and he will only continue to get better. The Snyder backfield has a stable of solid runners, starting with Konner Carothers (6-1, 200, Sr.) at fullback. He is not afraid to hit someone, but also has good feet and can move the ball. At tailback, senior Frankie Valderas and junior Tommy Torres will look for the open running lanes to get to the end zone. On the outside, senior Kolson Allen and junior Rickey Williams have great hands to pull in the passes from Balderas.

DEFENSE
The Cyclone defense will be led by coach Darren Lamar, who brings over twenty years of experience with him. He will have a number of upperclassmen to work with and that should be beneficial for the team. Aikens will hold down the defensive line and will be joined by Makhale Adams (So.), who will also play a
big role. After leading the team in tackles a year ago, Carothers is back at linebacker and should continue to be a dominant force. The defensive backfield will be led by returning starters Torres, Balderas, and Valderas, who all three bring a lot of speed to the position.
